A billion dollar shipload of nuclear waste, the most valuable but also most dangerous cargo ever to cross the ocean, represents a desirable target for ruthless profiteers. Concentrated death, in the wrong hands, is profitable merchandise. The owners believe that the consignment is bound for a high-tech recycling plant in Australia but DAVID, a freelance journalist with the London based NEWS agency, is suspicious. He is hot on the trail hoping to make a scoop with the scandal of the century. But the crooks are already after him and when he telephones his wife, SUSAN, the line is cut.Susan, who hasn’t heard from David for weeks, knows that there is something wrong and that she must help him, but nobody wants to know because the risks are too great. Finally STEVEN, a photojournalist for the NEWS agency, decides to assist her in the hope that he will realize a front page serial to NEWS from his involvement. Susan goes through David’s files and discovers photographs of a nuclear power plant and of a
freight-liner, the »Stella Polaris«. The ship, which is registered in Marseille, transports nuclear waste. Susan goes to Marseille where she is hunted down and lucky to escape with her life.Undeterred she and Steven travel to New York to interview Hopkins, a NEWS man with inside knowledge of the «Stella Maris« but, soon after their meeting, he is shot dead in his apartment. They now have reason to believe that David had smuggled himself on board the freighter when it set sail for Singapore.In Singapore they trace two crew members of the cargo-liner. Both are suffering from radiation burns but they confirm that Australia is the ship’s ultimate destination. They fly to Perth where they track down another sailor but, before they can interrogate him, he is run down by a car. It is an Aborigine who reveals that there is a construction site in the middle of the desert and that gigantic steel containers have been left there. They locate the spot by helicopter and their search ends when they discover David who has been left for dead under an abandoned truck. Protected from the sun and sustained only by a container of cooling liquid he has survived.The quest is at an end. It is a time for mutual congratulations. The press gather round for the moment of triumph but the celebration is short lived. The recycling plant does not exist and the steel containers are empty. The deadly contents have already found a new owner…

Η σύνοψη αυτού του τεμαχίου ,γραμμένη από τα τσακάλια της Atlas films ,(της εταιρίας που διένειμε μεταξύ άλλων τις ταινίες του Μυλωνάκου στο εξωτερικό) το κάνει να φαίνεται σαν υπερπαραγωγή στα πρότυπα του “Συνδρόμου της Κίνας”.Μην τρελαθούμε κιόλας…η ταινία με το γερμανικό τίτλο σιδηρόδρομο “News – Bericht über eine Reise in eine strahlende Zukunft”(das heiβt: Aνταπόκριση από ένα ταξίδι σε ένα αστραφτερο μέλλον)είναι ένα συμπαθητικό πλήν ξεπερασμένο περιβαλλοντικό θρίλερ με κοσμοπολίτικο χαρακτήρα.Ψαρώσαμε με το γεγονός οτι έχει γυριστει σε Μασσαλία,Αυστραλία,Νέα Υόρκη,Νορμανδία και Σιγκαπούρη(Ήμαρτον!),αλλά το φίλμ ούτε την πυρίτιδα ανακαλύπτει,ούτε τον κύκλο τετραγωνίζει.Συμπαθητικό αποκύημα του ψυχρού πολέμου,της απειλής του πυρηνικού Ολοκαυτώματος και της ισορροπίας του τρόμου,θα συγκινήσει μόνο ακτιβιστές της Greenpeace.

Atomkraft? Nein.Danke!

Mόνο αν δεν έχετε τίποτα καλύτερο να δείτε…

Filmed on location in Normandy, Marseille, New York, Singapore and Australia “The Nuclear Conspiracy” is a slightly dull but inexplicably watchable environmental thriller.

Apart from the cosmopolitan factor this film has Birgit Doll who is a plausible character you can actually care for, as the female lead.Other than that the plot is sort of labyrinthine,not complicated by any means,it’s just crammed with little details in order to get the plot to become more credible,but this overanalysis of the script doesn’t leave much room for any real tension.The climax is quite pedestrian and leaves a rather bittersweet taste.

Overall,this flick seems to be a pretty dated affair stemming right from the Chernobyl era and inspired by the horrors generated by the misuse of nuclear energy.Since innocence in this planet is long since gone,I doubt anyone will really bother to watch a movie that deals with a subject matter that is old news.

Anyway,Euro fans in shortage of available movies to watch or with low expectations won’t lose much if they kill some time with this one.

 

 

‘Gator Bait (1974)

“Hicksploitation, also spelled hixploitation, is a genre of exploitation film relying on stereotypical depictions of rural whites of the American South and Appalachia (i.e. hillbillies or hicks), usually for purposes of horror.”

Οι κατοικοεδρεύοντες τον Αμερικάνικο Νότο και τις ερημικές ορεινές εκτάσεις των ΗΠΑ βλάχοι έχουν καταγραφεί σαν μυστήρια τρένα στην πινακοθήκη του παγκόσμιου σινεμά τρόμου.Οι δημιουργοί είχαν και έχουν την τάση να απεικονίζουν τους Αμερικανούς “βλάχους” σαν μισαλλόδοξα ,ημιάγρια όντα με αιμομικτικές τάσεις που φτύνουν καπνό στο έδαφος,μιλάνε κάτι ακατάληπτο που μοιάζει με Αγγλικά και μισούν θανάσιμα τους ξένους,τα παιδιά της πόλης,τους φλώρους,τους hippies,οποιονδήποτε τελοσπάντων χαλάει το Αταβιστικό τους κάδρο.Φυσικά αυτή η απεικόνιση που βρίθει καλολογικών exploitation στοιχείων συνετέλεσε και συντελεί στη δημιουργία συναισθημάτων αρχετυπικού τρόμου,σαν αυτά που στοίχειωσαν τον ύπνο μας μετά τη θέαση του “Texas chainsaw Massacre” μεταξύ άλλων.O φόβος για το άγνωστο,το διαφορετικό,για αξιακά συστήματα ξένα προς την πλειονότητα των αντιστοίχων που κυριαρχούν στις πολιτισμένες Δυτικές κοινωνίες, έγινε όπλο στα χέρια των σκηνοθετών και γέννησε εφιάλτες.

Με κάτι τέτοιο έχουμε να κάνουμε και στο ” ‘Gator Bait ” .Η ειδοποιός διαφορά είναι οτι η ταινία πραγματεύεται μια εσωτερική βεντέτα μεταξύ χιλμπίλιδων και οχι μια κατα μέτωπο επίθεση ενάντια στην καθεστηκύια αστική τάξη…

Η παρούσα ταινία είναι κλασικό δείγμα του είδους,ευνοημένη από τη στρωτή αφήγηση,τις καλές ερμηνείες,τις δυνατές exploitation στιγμές και την καίρια παρουσία της πρόωρα χαμένης Claudia Jennings στο ρόλο της “Αγριόγατας” Desiree Thibodeau.Η Desiree αποτελεί το μήλο της έριδος και το ζωντανό θήραμα σε μια καταδίωξη μέχρις εσχάτων,αλλά παμπόνηρη ούσα,εξολοθρεύει μια ολόκληρη φατρία ημίτρελων βλάχων και στο φινάλε του φίλμ μας αγναντεύει περήφανα καθώς χάνεται στην απεραντοσύνη του βάλτου της Louisiana.

Η ταινία μέτρησε άσχημα.Άν σας αρέσει το Seventies Αμερικάνικο Grindhouse θα γουστάρετε στα τέρματα.

Desiree lives deep in the swamp and supports herself and her siblings by poaching. Ben and deputy Billy hope to get a little sexual comfort from the “Cajun swamp rat” when they catch Desiree trapping ‘gators, and give chase. Desiree outsmarts them but Billy accidentally shoots Ben and tells his sheriff dad that Desiree did it. Ben’s dad and sons join them in the search party and quickly get out of control. Soon the hunters become the hunted as Desiree exacts her revenge for their violence against her family.

Classic “hicksploitation” by the Sebastian couple.

The viewer will be delighted to watch the sleaze as it  is being delivered in spades,will enjoy the steady pace,the linear ,easy-to-follow storyline and will be pleased to know that this flick was shot at authentic Louisiana outback locations.

The actors deliver some plausible performances,especially Claudia Jennings who shines bright as the female lead.Overall,this is a really effective female revenge/action movie that should not be missed,especially if you’re fond of the classic Seventies styled Grindhouse exploitation in the vein of “Deliverance” .

The incestuous overtones and the rape/castration subplot are not for the squeamish or the politically correct crowds though.This flick stems from an era when directors could include things like the aforementioned in their movies and get away with it.Needless to say, those were the days…

He Knows You’re Alone (1980)

Όμορφο ατμοσφαιρικό slasher από τον Armand Mastroianni.

Άγνωστος Ψυχάκιας καταλαμβάνεται από δολοφονική μανία και πληγωμένος από την απόρριψη την οποία υπέστη από την γυναίκα που επρόκειτο να παντρευτεί,δολοφονεί κάθε έτοιμο να παντρευτεί θηλυκό που συναντά στο διάβα του.

Έχει στιγμές που κόβουν την ανάσα τούτο εδώ,παρά το γεγονός οτι δεν είναι λουσμένο στο αίμα.Η αριστοτεχνική ατμοσφαιρική σκηνοθεσία του Mastroianni ποντάρει στη δημιουργία έντονου σασπένς και ενίοτε τινάζει τη μπάνκα στον αέρα.Η ταινία φυσικά και κάνει “κοιλιές” κατά διαστήματα και αυτό της στερεί τις περγαμηνές της slasher εποποιίας,αλλά οι καλοκουρδισμένες σκηνές όπου ο φονιάς(χωρίς μάσκα και λοιπά αξεσουάρ)εντοπίζει,στοχοποιεί και δολοφονεί,με χειρουργική ακρίβεια αλλά απερίγραπτη μανία και αγνή παράνοια στο βλέμμα,τα θύματά του,μπορούν να μεταμορφώσουν ακόμα και μακάριο Ινδο γιόγκι σε καρδιακό.Οι όποιες ομοιότητες με το “Halloween” είναι στυλιστικές και όχι αποκυήματα ξεδιάντροπης,στείρας αντιγραφής και προσωπικά δεν με ενοχλούν καθόλου.Οι αναζητώντες την παρθενογένεση ας αποταθούν αλλού…

Οι λάτρεις του ατμοσφαιρικού τρόμου που σε διαπερνά χωρίς απαραίτητα να σου σερβίρει κινηματογραφικό σπληνάντερο θα γουστάρουν οπωσδήποτε…οι λοιποί το νού σας,γιατί ο Ray(ο φονιάς ντε…)ξέρει οτι είσαστε μόνοι σας…

A reluctant bride to be is stalked by a serial killer who only kills brides and the people around them. While her friends get whacked one by one, a hard boiled renegade cop whose bride had been killed years before tries to hunt him down before it is too late. Meanwhile, the bride has to figure out if it is all in her imagination or not, aided by her ex-boyfriend…

Slick,atmospheric and stylish exercise in slasher horror executed with panache and delivering the goods without throwing buckets of blood in the viewer’s face,”He knows you’re Alone” is a superior entry in a genre that would get bloated,repetitive and oversaturated in the years to come.

Interesting fact in this movie is that the killer is not hiding behind a mask or a costume or lurking in the shades.Instead of hiding in dark alleys he walks around,as a regular guy,he targets,stalks and stabs brides to be to their death,which is creepy in theory and practice,isn’t it?Every victim feels like being watched and capable director enhances that feeling by making his movie a powerhouse of PoV shots and inspired sequences , pretty much along the lines of “Halloween” sans Michael Myers.The film score is also tremendously effective just like Carpenter’s haunting “Halloween” theme,but parallels and selective relations aside “He knows you’re Alone” has enough flesh in its bones to keep the viewer awake and to immerse him/her in pure tension,you know…that visceral feeling someone can get from good old horror.

An excellent if not really outstanding slasher,acted superbly by the mostly young cast and directed in a beautiful way. Mastroianni’s little gem of a flick is an ideal late night viewing.

Dirty Games (1989)

cast: Jan-Michael Vincent, Valentina Vargas, Ronald France 

Η υπερβολική φιλοδοξία μάλλον έφαγε τους συντελεστές τούτου του τραγικά ανούσιου action.

Διεθνής τρομοκρατία,πυρηνικά απόβλητα,βιομηχανική κατασκοπία,Τρίτος κόσμος,έρωτες,δολοφονίες και άλλα που θα μπορούσαν να συνδιαστούν σε σενάριο του Φώσκολου,αλλά όχι σε action αξιώσεων,συνυπάρχουν δυσαρμονικά σε μια υδροκέφαλη παραγωγή διάρκειας 100 λεπτών που φαίνονται στο θεατή σαν μια αιωνιότητα.

Η παραγωγή παραδόξως έχει έναν κοσμοπολίτικο αέρα και δείχνει αρκετά λουσάτη και υψηλού προυπολογισμού,αλλά ο σαρκοβόρος ρυθμός,ο άχρωμος και άοσμος Jan-Michael Vincent στον πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο και η αδιάφορη κλιμάκωση καταδικάζουν μια ταινία που θα μπορούσε να είναι πολύ καλύτερη σε όλα τα επίπεδα.

Θα προτιμήσω την αναρχία και τον υπαρκτό Τρας Σουρρεαλισμό του “Laser Mission” οποιαδήποτε στιγμή.

the beautiful daughter of a murdered scientist determines to apprehend her father’s brutal killer at a nuclear waste site they’re both inspecting as part of a team of international delegates. But the visiting scientists soon realize that ruthless terrorists intend to blow up the complex.

Excruciatingly flat and slow paced terrorist action flick by Gray Hofmeyr that blatantly fails in all sectors.

The storyline is not necessarily bad,if unoriginal,but the execution is poor,the movie is dragging hopelessly and the 100 minute duration is unjustifiable,as the proceedings could easily be narrated in a more compact 80 minute lasting flick.

Then it’s the nonexistent chemistry between the ever mediocre Jan-Michael Vincent and the beautiful non actress Valentina Vargas,the rest of the cast provide some forgettable mannerisms and the action scenes are poorly executed.Any attempt in creating some tension falls short and to make things even worse the climax is embarrassingly weak.

The fact that this one was distributed on video by AIP cannot numb my pain,just kidding…

Forgettable…

Cyborg – Il guerriero d’acciaio(1989)

directed by:Giannetto De Rossi

cast:Frank Zagarino, Henry Silva, Sherrie Rose

Sci-Fi τεκές σκηνοθετημένος από το μαέστρο των ειδικών εφφέ Giannetto De Rossi. Ο προαναφερθείς μπορεί να κεντάει με τα άντερα και με τα κοκορέτσια(δικά του είναι τα εφφέ στα:Zombie Flesh Eaters,House by the Cemetery του Lucio Fulci),αλλά στο σκηνοθετικό κομμάτι δεν το έχει.Σκηνοθετεί στον αυτόματο ένα φίλμ της φτώχειας και προσπαθεί μαζί με τον γάτο παραγωγό Fabrizio De Angelis να τσιμπήσει οτι μπορεί από την επιτυχία ταινιών σαν το “Terminator”.Mάστορες στην αντιγραφή οι Ιταλοί,αλλά τούτο εδώ με τόσο χαμηλό budget,δεν μπορεί κανείς να το πάρει στα σοβαρά.

Δεν λέω την πλάκα του πάντως την έχει.Ειδικά ο Henry Silva παίζει λές και είναι υπό την επήρρεια μεθαμφεταμίνης και μας προσφέρει στιγμές αγνής over-acted κινηματογραφικής σκατοψυχίας.Ο Zagarino είναι “ξύλινος” όπως πάντα και η ώρα περνάει αρκετά ευχάριστα.Κάποια cyborg εφφέ είναι αρκετά πειστικά και η γενικότερη ελαφρότητα του concept διασκεδάζει αβασάνιστα.

The android 3CB , the prototype of a cyborg known as Cy- Warrior is activated inadvertently during a transfer , and despite suffering from some damage ,it manages to escape on a Caribbean island .There it finds the young Brandon , who lives on the island with his sister Susan , where it finds relief; starts in front of them to repair its mechanical body , showing its android nature; The two children help 3CB hide in the community , teaching it to behave like a human being; Susan ends up falling in love with him. 3CB , however , is in fact , part of a top secret project of the U.S. government and is programmed to be a ruthless killing machine.A special team , led by the cruel Colonel Hammer,is sent on its trail, with the aim of bringing in home the android. The hunt soon turns into a bloodbath , leaving many victims among the population of the island and putting out of the generator at the local hospital . Brandon is also seriously wounded . 3CB will provide the energy needed to power the machinery of the operating room to allow surgeons to save the boy’s life .

Incredibly and hilariously inane sci-fi trashfest by the special FX artist/director Giannetto De Rossi.

Frank Zagarino delivers a  splendidly wooden performance as the Cy-warrior and Silva is the epitome of over-acted callousness.The more stupid moments of the film offer some great moments of trashy entertainment to the devoted Euro-trash fan.The cyborg effects by De Rossi are convincing but they are few and far between as the flick was obviously shot on poverty row budget.

Deservedly obscure,this one will be a pain to track down,but once seen cannot be unseen.

Curtains (1983)

Φανταστικό slasher από τον Καναδά.

Όλα τα συστατικά που συντελούν στη δημιουργία ενός όμορφου θρίλερ πέφτουν στις σωστές αναλογίες και στη μαρμίτα κοχλάζει ένας εύγευστος σκουρόχρωμος ζωμός.Πολλές “κόκκινες ρέγγες”(sic)κάνουν αισθητή την παρουσία τους κατά την εξέλιξη της πλοκής και το τέλος αφήνει το θεατή “παγωτό”.

Αξιομνημόνευτες σκηνές,αδιαπέραστη ατμόσφαιρα,δημιουργική σκηνοθεσία,όμορφες ερμηνείες,φανταστικό soundtrack και ανατριχιαστικό φινάλε,οι παράγοντες που έκαναν το γράφοντα να αγαπήσει το “Curtains”,μπείτε και εσείς στη διαδικασία να ανακαλύψετε αυτό το φιλμάκι,θα σας προσφέρει στιγμές ποιοτικού κινηματογραφικού γκραν-γκινιόλ και στο τέλος του θα αισθανθείτε τουλάχιστον τυχεροί που διαθέσατε το χρόνο σας για να παρακολουθήσετε αυτή την ταινία.

Slasher Α’Εθνικής…

Samantha Sherwood has worked with the well-known director Jonathan Stryker on all his major films. She naturally assumes she has been given the title role in his latest venture, “Audra”. He tells her that she nn needs to do some background research on the part, so arranges to have her committed to an asylum (as Audra is a former psychiatric patient). She goes along with this, not realising that he intends to leave her there indefinitely and audition six young women of various professions for the part instead. She finally manages to escape, and returns to the spooky old mansion where the auditions are taking place. But who is causing the disappearances of the young hopefuls?? Is it Samantha? Stryker? Or is one of the actresses willing to kill for the coveted part?? Just who is the killer behind the old-hag mask??? 

 Very entertaining,extra ordinary slasher ,blessed by good acting and many effective scenes like the ice skating murder scene and  the dream sequence with the doll.The twist ending is also very well made.The killer’s mask is really scary as well.The slick direction and the film score also contribute to the overall quality of the project.

To sum this up.”Curtains” is an extremely underrated film that almost went under the radar for most slasher fans,this is extremely unfair,because the tension and the style that lurk withing the frames of this film are rare to be found in other similar production that go for the (obvious) jugular.This is much more than a plain and simple bloodshed.

Abduction (1975)

Ενδιαφέρουσα εκτέλεση μιας ακόμα πιο ενδιαφέρουσας ιδέας από το μαίτρ Joseph Zito.

H  κόρη ενός πλούσιου Ρεπουμπλικανού γερουσιαστή πέφτει θύμα απαγωγής, με δράστες μια ομάδα αριστερίζοντων ακτιβιστών.Οι απαγωγείς απαιτούν την καταστροφή ενός κτιριακού συγκροτήματος προκειμένου να απελευθερώσουν τη νεαρή,αλλά η κατάσταση περιπλέκεται όταν η μικρή αποκηρύσσει τα έργα και τις ημέρες του πατρός.Στο τέλος της ημέρας η μικρή σαν κλασικό θύμα του συνδρόμου της Στοκχόλμης ερωτεύεται τους δυνάστες της και εντάσσεται πλήρως στους κόλπους της τρομοκρατικής ομάδας.

Άν εξαιρέσουμε την επιφανειακή,Αμερικάνικου τύπου,απεικόνιση των αριστερών ακτιβιστών.τότε αυτή η ταινία με τον υπόγειό της ρυθμό και τις καλές της ερμηνείες κερδίζει το θεατή.Σωστή σκηνοθεσία και grindhouse αισθητική από το Zito,o οποίος εξαργύρωσε το προφανές του ταλέντο,κάνοντας αργότερα πολύ πιο φαντεζί πράγματα(The Prowler ,Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter ,Invasion U.S.A. ).Eδώ στην πρώτη του μεγάλου μήκους παρουσιάζεται αρκετά Σκορσεζικός και ακολουθεί το δρόμο του τότε Αμερικάνικου ανεξάρτητου σινεμά,downbeat ατμοσφαιρικός κινηματογράφος,με έμφαση στη σπουδή των χαρακτήρων.

Πολύ ενδιαφέρον φίλμ που αξίζει να θεαθεί από τους οπαδούς του grindhouse.

Based, loosely, on the story of Patty Hearst’s kidnappings by the SLA. The daughter of wealthy businessman is taken hostage by a gang of radical black revolutionaries. While she fears for her life at first, she gradually starts to become sympathetic to her kidnappers’ cause, and eventually considers herself to be one of them. When the police finally find her, will they bring her back to her family, or lock her up in jail?

Very interesting feature film debut by the talented Joseph Zito(Prowler).Inspired by a true Stockholm Syndrom story ,this film is quite interesting,if quite humble narrative wise.The locations are nothing special,but Zito’s clinical approach and character study is worthy of praise.The presentation and the analysis of the left wing posse leaves a lot to be desired though.Their antics seem to be more along the lines of a Jim Jones like sect rather than a bunch of ideology driven political activists.

Zito was lucky enough to get some solid performances by his cast.His direction is quite inspired too,with some emphatic close-ups and some cool camera angles giving some style to the overall thing.

All in all,a humble but cool crime drama.Sleaze addicts will not find much to cherish here.This one mostly creates some subtle tension,rather than throwing buckets of blood to one’s face.

Scalps (1987)

Δυνατό Γουέστερν φέσι από το δίδυμο Fragasso/Mattei.

Θυμάμαι που συνηθίζαμε με ένα φίλο να σχολιάζουμε με ένα μείγμα κανιβαλισμού και τρυφερότητας πως ο μακαρίτης ο Mattei σφράγιζε με την παρουσία του-σαν ταφόπλακα-το κάθε κινηματογραφικό υποείδος.Η συνεισφορά του στο Γουέστερν κρίνεται μάλλον πενιχρή,αφού αριθμεί μόλις δυό ταινίες,αλλά κρίνοντας από το “Scalps” δεν τα πάει καθόλου άσχημα,προσφέροντας μια διασκεδαστική gore/sleaze ανάσα σε ένα μάλλον νεκρό είδος.

Καφρίλα στα όρια,τουλάχιστον κρίνοντας από το γεγονός του οτι έχουμε να κάνουμε με Γουέστερν,προβλεπόμενες κακές ερμηνείες,νευρώδης ρυθμός,το θέαμα κρίνεται ως σχετικά πλήρες και ικανοποιητικό για τους φίλους του Euro cult. 

The commander of a Texan fort in the Civil War refuses to surrender to the Northerners, and tries to buy the local Indian tribe chief’s daughter. The sage man refuses, and the Southerners massacre the tribe and abduct the young squaw anyway. The noble squaw manages to escape, and hides out with a rough rancher, who dislikes Indians, but hates the Southerners more. The odd couple joins forces, and tactics, to exert ultimate vengeance on the men at the fort.

Successful late spaghetti western entry for the Mattei/Fragesso creative duet.Nothing really stellar,but way better than other late 80ies Mattei quickies.The semi legendary director blends his revenge western plot with some nice pacing,some gore the Italian way and some appropriately sleazy dialogue.Nothing more to add.Fans of the great,late ,trash maestro need to see this one.The same applies for euro trash enthusiasts

Γεώμηλο ολκής από το μαίτρ της direct-to-video διασκέδασης,David DeCoteau.

Επιχειρηματίας που θέλει να ξεφορτωθεί τη γυναίκα του,της φορτώνει ευσταλή νεαρό,στο ρόλο του επιστάτη.Η γυναίκα του σέρνεται στα πατώματα για τα μάτια του νεαρού,ο οποίος υποκύπτει,αλλά αγαπάει και την ηθοποιό φίλη του.

Πλεκτάνες,αίμα,σπέρμα και μεγάλη προσφορά γυμνής,γυναικείας σαρκός από τον Καναδό σκηνοθέτη,αλλά δεν τρελαινόμαστε.Η ταινία λειτουργεί μόνο εαν έχει κανείς εξαιρετικά χαμηλά τον πηχύ.Το “murder weapon” με την υστερική trash/splatter πλοκή λειτουργεί πολύ καλύτερα από τούτο εδώ.

Μόνο για συλλέκτες του DeCoteau.Στους υπόλοιπους θα στραβώσει το σαγώνι από τη βαρεμάρα.

A beautiful but horny and neglected Beverly Hills wife hires a hot young stud as a gardener. It eventually gets through to her husband that some hanky-panky may possibly be going on, and he begins to spy on her. Complications, and murder, ensue.

Unbelievably flat,poorly scripted and plotted quickie by David De Coteau.The cast is good through and through,with DeCoteau regulars like Linnea Quigley offering a little of their glamour to this very low-profile project,but the way the proceedings are unfolded is so damn obvious and predictable that this one is a total bore,unable to redeem itself.Nudity galore and some surreal shots of Michelle Bauer as the female spirit of sex add some spice to this dull picture but soon they get redundant.

Ty Randolph does her best with a nonexistent script and Jan-Michael Vincent  is effectively sleazy.Linnea Quigley is a cutie as always,but is given little to do too.
