Αρχετυπική τρας zombie horror μπαλαφάρα που κουβαλάει τόσο μεγαλείο επικών προεκτάσεων,που θα μπορούσε κάποιος να εκπονήσει διατριβή πάνω στο οργανωμένο χάος,τους σαρκοβόρους(sic)ρυθμούς,τις απαράδεκτες ερμηνείες,τα πάναργα-πλήν επιβλητικά ζόμπις,το άθλιο soundtrack,τις gore σκηνές ανθολογίας,το κάλτ με σάρκα και οστά…

Η ταινία είναι έτη φωτός κατώτερη από τα zombie horror του Fulci και από το “Nightmare City” του Lenzi,το μόνο φιλμ που την προσεγγίζει σε σκουπιδίλα είναι το “Zombie Holocaust” του Girolami,αλλά κανείς,σας εγγυώμαι,δεν βλέπει μια τέτοια ταινία για να θαυμάσει τις εμπνευσμένες κινηματογραφικές συνθέσεις του δημιουργού,να θρέψει την ψυχή του με υψηλά νοήματα και να χαθεί στην αληθοφάνεια της υποκριτικής μαεστρίας των ηθοποιών.

Aν οι μαγικές λέξεις gore,splatter,exploitation,zombies σας λένε κάτι,τότε μάλλον το ‘χετε δει ήδη…

Μεγαλείο!

Professor Ayres discovers a secret in an ancient stone and when he opens a crypt, he revives zombies that kill him. He had invited three couples to visit him in his manor to reveal his discovery. However, they never get around to meeting the professor. Out of the blue, the zombies attack them and they seek shelter in the mansion. The creatures put the manor under siege while they protect themselves trying to survive to the horde of zombies.

Αn ode to hack direction,ineptitude,campiness,crappy acting,sheer exploitative mannerisms of epic proportions,”Burial Ground” is deservedly dated,almost bearing an uncomfortable similarity to its Zombie protagonists,but still manages to gain new die-hard fans.This paradox can be attributed to the galore of mistakes and cinematic atrocities ever present in its frames or even to its Ed Wood like over-the-topness.

The gory bravado and bravura that the unsuspected viewer is going to be encountered with is something that he/she will never see coming.Like a sledgehammer blow to your forehead,the exercise in tackiness courtesy of Andrea Bianchi scars you for life.After all it was produced by the infamous Gabriele Crisanti(Patrick vive ancora,Giallo a Venezia),so you know your deal here.
