Irredeemable poverty row downbeat drama thriller disguised and mismarketed as a slasher affair, is serviceable only as a footnote/placeholder for genre fanatics .

David Lee Shepherd, who desperately wants work in the video business, is luring hookers into his hotel room so that he can videotape himself strangling them. The police conclude that a serial killer is at work and thus begins an intense manhunt.

There is not much of a murderous action here , let alone video related murder. The movie epicenter /villain seems preoccupied with cameras and video technology and regularly picks-up girls to film with his camera but there is minimal violence and action to justify the exploitative nature of the title. First ten minutes are a solid 6 out of 10 for there is some tension to be seen , but it’s all downhill from there, including a very flat cinematography .

Deservedly a rare and obscure film. This cinematic curio will only matter to slasher completists.

An abysmal obscurity of a film that is mildly entertaining but lacks of any replay value whatsoever, Blood Nasty was never released theatrically or on video in the U.S and was only released on video in Greece and a few other countries. No DVD version exists as of yet.

Roy is killed by a couple of jewel thieves and then brought back to life and possessed by deceased serial killer “Blade”. He returns home and his mother is not very happy to see him as she wants to collect his life insurance policy. Soon, things get out of hand as mom is trying to make sure nobody knows that Roy has “come back” and Blade is trying to let everybody know that he has “come back”.

It’s fairly obvious that this falls mostly into the camp/comedy/horror category. Quite similar to Troma stuff like : Death by Dialogue or Mommy’s Epitaph this will only be of interest to hardcore straight-to-video horror connoisseurs and Linnea Quigley completists.

Ασύλληπτος υπερ-σπάνιος βιντεοτεκές δικαίως λησμονημένος από όλον το ντουνιά.Μπορεί να μην έτυχε διανομής στις ΗΠΑ αλλά κυκλοφόρησε στην Ελλάδα από τη θρυλική ΕΛΛΑΣ ΚΟΣΜΟΣ ΒΙΝΤΕΟ, θεωρείται λοιπόν σπάνιο φιλμ.

Μικροκακοποιός σκοτώνεται προδομένος από τους συντρόφους του στα πλαίσια σκοτεινού κόλπου και το σώμα του καταλαμβάνεται από το σατανικό πνεύμα Κολομβιανού εμπόρου ναρκωτικών,ονόματι Μπλεηντ. Η οικογένεια εποφθαλμιά τα χρήματα της αποζημίωσης, αλλά ο νεκρός Roy και η νεοαφιχθείσα φιλενάδα του Μπλεηντ ,Wanda καταφθάνουν στην οικογενειακή εστία και περιπλέκουν τα πράγματα.

Οι οπαδοι βιντεοσκουπιδιών λογικής Troma Films μπορεί και να χαμογελάσουν,οι αρχειοθέτες των κάκιστων ταινιών τρόμου επίσης.Οι λοιποί μακρυά.

Braindead(no pun intented) attempt in mixing straightforward horror with comedy.Needless to say that “Blood nasty”is a horrible mish-mash,executed poorly and it blatantly fails in all sectors.Of course there have been far more successful attempts in mixing horror with comedy,f.e “Idle hands” or “Braindead” but this isn’t the case with the particular film.It isn’t hard to understand why this never got a theatrical release,as it’s simply too bad to be taken even mildly seriously.

There is some nudity courtesy of Linnea Quigley and a couple of amateurish gory scenes but they cannot salvage the snoozefest that “Blood Nasty” is.There’s practically no real horror in the film and comical gags are too worn out.Deservedly rare and obscure this is a classic one-buck movie,in my case I paid even less to buy an ex-rental Greek vhs. Addressed only to horror historians with encyclopedic inclinations,if you don’t fall into the previous category,then let “Blood Nasty” rest in its well deserved oblivion.

Άλλη μια απ’τις περιπτώσεις ταινιών που, με αφορμή την παντοδυναμία του Βίντεο κατά τη διάρκεια της δεκαετίας του ’80.κυκλοφόρησαν χωρίς να έχουν τίποτα απολύτως να προσφέρουν.

O Roy σκοτώνεται έχοντας πέσει στην παγίδα ενός ζεύγους  κλεφτών αλλά επιστρέφει στη ζωή ως νεκροζώντανος με το σώμα του να ελέγχεται πλέον από το πνεύμα του δολοφονημένου Κολομβιανού  κατά συρροή δολοφόνου “Blade”. Επιστρέφει στο σπίτι και η μητέρα του δεν είναι και πολύ ευτυχής που τον ξαναβλέπει αφού έχει ήδη εισπράξει παχυλή αποζημίωση από ασφαλιστική εταιρία για το θάνατο του γιού της. Σύντομα, τα πράγματα ξεφεύγουν από τον έλεγχο,καθώς η  φιλάργυρη μαμά του Roy προσπαθεί να βεβαιωθεί ότι κανείς δεν ξέρει ότι ο Roy έχει επιστρέψει ,ενώ το πνεύμα του Blade κάνει απόλυτα αισθητή την παρουσία του.

Το συγκεκριμένο φίλμ είναι για μπούφλες…έτσι απλά.Κακόγουστη προσπάθεια με σκοπό τη μίξη μαύρης κωμωδίας με το καθαρόαιμο horror.Τα πάντα σ’αυτό το φίλμ δείχνουν να είναι στημένα στο πόδι.Για του λόγου το αληθές τα κωμικά στιγμιότυπα είναι κλισαρισμένα και οι σκηνές τρόμου είναι στημένες με ερασιτεχνικό τρόπο.

Μόνο για συλλέκτες…
